Welcome to Lily's Closet

Fifteen years, two women, one closet's worth of sweaters we couldn't stop talking about.

How it started

Lily's Closet began as a side project between two friends with a shared weakness for good knitwear and a shared frustration with how hard it was to find. Everything either looked expensive and fussy or cheap and shapeless, and finding a sweater that was both well made and actually wearable to work, errands, and everything in between meant hunting across a dozen different shops.

So we started curating our own. What began as a small collection we sold out of our own closets grew, slowly and mostly by word of mouth, into the shop it is today. Fifteen years later, we're still the same two people picking every piece, still based right here in Canada, still shipping every order ourselves.

What we actually do

We're not a factory and we're not a mall brand. We're a small online shop that specializes in sweaters, knitwear, and everyday layers, chosen piece by piece rather than manufactured under our own label. If something's in our store, one of us has personally decided it's worth your money, which means we turn down a lot more than we carry.

What that means for you

It means when you email us, an actual person who knows the collection writes back, not a script. It means when something isn't holding up the way it should, we want to hear about it, because we're the ones who chose to sell it to you. And it means we're not chasing every trend that comes through, we're building a closet of things that still make sense to wear in a year.

Fifteen years in, that's still the whole idea.
